The Cast
Leading the cast of Joseph is a Candlelight favorite, Ms. Melissa Joy Hart as the Narrator. Some audiences of Candlelight might remember her from such roles as Carlotta (Phantom), Sr. Robert Ann (Nunsense), and most recently as Domina (Forum). Originally from Philadelphia, she has performed extensively throughout the region at the Walnut Street Theatre (Sound of Music, Phantom, Jacques Brel), Arden Theatre (Into the Woods), City Theater Company (Company, Assassins, Side by Side by Sondheim), College of NJ (Gypsy) as well as Plays and Players, Prince Music Theatre, Westmont and Society Hill Playhouse. Ms. Hart was also handpicked by Jason Robert Brown for his Boston reading of Songs for a New World and had the pleasure of singing alongside Betty Buckley in the concert "Betty Buckley: New Ways to Dream" directed by Eric Larivee. Currently, she can be seen on the internet television series "The League". (www.theleaguetv.com)
Joining Ms. Hart will be Mr. Edward Egan as Joseph. A New Jersey resident, he has performed at many of the area regional theaters. Most recently, he was seen in A Little Night Music (Henrik) at the White Plains PAC alongside Tony nominees Penny Fuller and Mark Jacoby. He has also worked at the Bucks County Playhouse, Off-Broadstreet Theater, Pocono Playhouse and the Academy Theater. He has also sung with the Staten Island Philharmonic, for Norwegian Cruise Lines and in the 1st National Arena Tour of the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular.
