2010 Season
The show that has swept the country is coming to New Candlelight! High School Musical tells of story of two high school juniors from rival cliques – Troy Bolton, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, a beautiful and shy transfer student who excels in math and science. Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical and, as a result, divide the school. Despite other students' attempts to thwart their dreams, Troy and Gabriella resist peer pressure and rivalry, inspiring others along the way not to "stick to the status quo".

A contemporary opera by Andrew Lloyd Weber, Evita follows the rise and demise of real life figure, low-born Eva Peron as seen through the eyes of a peasant, Che. Beginning at Eva's funeral, the story backtracks from her rise to power, her influence as an inspirational figurehead for the peasants of Argentina and her gradual weakening, illness and death through a variety of songs of different styles. Famous songs include: “A New Argentina”, “Another Suitcase in Another Hall” and “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina.”

What better way to ring in the Summer of 2010 than with the rock ‘n’ roll hits of Elvis Presley. Based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, this jukebox musical uses classic songs by the “King of Rock” himself and is sure to have you dancing in your seats. Remember the fun you had listening to such tunes as “ Jailhouse Rock”, “Can’t Help Falling in Love”, and of course “All Shook Up.” This fabulous show is sure to be a fun summer event for the whole family.
